Republic Services La Gloria Landfill sits north of Edinburg on Moorefield Road and is the largest landfill serving the Rio Grande Valley. It takes material from residents, contractors and third-party haulers alike, which makes it the default destination for volume that municipal sites in the Valley will not or cannot handle.

Gate rates are not published. Republic Services prices commercial disposal by account and by load, and does not post a public fee schedule for this site, so we will not print a per-ton figure we cannot source. Call the facility for a current quote before you load — particularly for anything above a pickup load, where a minimum charge and weight-based pricing will apply.

The site accepts non-hazardous municipal solid waste, household waste, construction and demolition debris, and brush and yard waste. Hazardous waste is refused.

If you are a Valley resident with a straightforward household load, it is worth pricing this against the municipal options first — the City of Edinburg Regional Landfill lets residents drop household trash, appliances and brush free with a current water bill, which is hard to beat. La Gloria earns its place when the load is large, mixed, contractor-generated, or coming from outside a city that offers a resident exemption.
