Post Oak Landfill lies on FM 1150 outside Luling, about twelve miles east of Seguin, and it is run commercially by Waste Connections rather than by a county. That ownership matters enormously to what you pay, because the difference between the two price lists here is the largest of any site we cover.
If you are a Guadalupe County citizen, the county has negotiated a discount and publishes it itself: $20 for a car or pickup load, or $53 where the vehicle carries bulky items or brush, that second rate carrying a one-ton minimum. The county defines bulky items simply as things that cannot be compacted. That schedule was last revised in April 2025.
Everybody else meets the commercial gate rate, and it is a different world. Construction and demolition waste is billed at $93.95 the ton with the environmental fee already included, against a two-ton minimum that puts a floor of $187.90 under every load regardless of how little you actually tip. Arriving with half a trailer of building debris and no Guadalupe County connection is an expensive lesson. Account holders can also access LEED and recycling services for C and D material, priced on application through 512-243-6300.
Opening times run on two tracks. The general public is admitted Monday to Friday from 7am until 4.30pm, and on Saturday mornings from 7am until midday. Account holders get a longer day, 6am to 5pm on weekdays and 6am to 12.45pm on Saturday. Nobody gets in on Sunday.
One requirement stops people at the gate more than any rule about waste types: personal protective equipment is compulsory for every customer. A hard hat, a safety vest and safety glasses are all required, and they are not optional for a quick trip in a car. Turn up without them and you will not be tipping. The site number is 830-433-7229.
A small caution on the address. The county's own documents give the postcode two ways, 78155 on the citizen pricing sheet and 78648 on its landfill reference list, while the street address of 7787 FM 1150 is consistent throughout. If you are relying on a satnav, put in the street and the road rather than the postcode.
