If you live in Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano or Richardson, two visits per month cost nothing. What unlocks that is a pairing of documents: your municipal utility bill demonstrating that solid waste services are being paid, alongside photographic driving identification showing the same address.

The ten per cent rule governs what can travel with the household rubbish. Fence panels, soil, brick and concrete are tolerated inside a free drop-off so long as they stay at or under a tenth of the total by volume. Exceed it and staff may reject the whole delivery outright or apply the posted gate rate to all of it.

Chargeable material is billed at seventy-five dollars for each tonne, subject to a minimum of one full tonne plus sales tax. Anything containing roofing shingles carries a further one hundred and fifty dollars on top, taxed likewise — worth calculating before a roofer's debris goes in the trailer.

Cash will not be taken here under any circumstances. Only credit and debit cards are accepted, unless a business has established a commercial solid waste account, which requires committing to at least five hundred dollars of charges every month.

State law requires the load to be covered or tied for the drive. Arriving with the right plastic in your wallet matters as much as the paperwork.
