The Corsicana Regional Landfill is a city-run site at 2050 Jester Drive, just off East Highway 31, and the city states plainly on its own page that it is open to the public. Both householders and commercial customers are served, which sets it apart from the many Texas sites that admit residents only. The office number is 903-654-4881.

Regular hours are Monday to Friday from 8am until 4.30pm, with a short Saturday session running from 8am to 11.30am only. There is no Sunday opening. That Saturday finish catches people out more than anything else here, because an afternoon trip at the weekend arrives to a closed gate.

We are not publishing a rate card for this site, and the reason is worth stating openly. The city does not print its disposal charges on the landfill page. It says instead that fees differ according to the size, weight and type of material brought in, and it refers readers to the sanitation part of its Chapter 13 municipal fee ordinance. That ordinance sits in the city's code library rather than on the facility page itself, and our standing rule is that we publish a figure only when it can be read directly off the operator's live page. Ring the landfill before loading up if the cost matters to your decision.

What the site does take, per the city: household and residential rubbish, commercial loads, brush, and leaves that have been bagged. Christmas trees are accepted after 25 December each year, or the city will arrange collection through Republic Services on 903-874-8717. The city also links a guidance leaflet on needles and syringes, which asks that sharps go into a rigid, sealed and clearly labelled container and then into ordinary household waste, never into a recycling bin.

The city issues a dated holiday calendar for the landfill, and 2026 is unusually detailed. Fully closed days are New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day on 19 January, Presidents' Day on 16 February, Saturday 4 April for Good Friday weekend, Memorial Day on 25 May, Juneteenth on Friday 19 June, Independence Day on Saturday 4 July, Saturday 5 and Monday 7 September around Labor Day, Veterans Day on 11 November, Thanksgiving on 26 November, and Christmas Day. Two December dates run to altered times rather than closing: Christmas Eve finishes at 2pm, and Saturday 26 December stays open until 5pm, which is far later than a normal Saturday. Regular service resumes on 28 December, and the site closes again on 1 January 2027.
