The Terrell Citizens Convenience Station sits on County Road 319, also signed as Flowers Lane, between FM 429 North and State Highway 34. It takes residential household trash and brush only, and commercial dumping is prohibited outright.
You cannot simply turn up and pay. A Solid Waste Disposal Permit must be bought in advance at the utility window at City Hall, 201 E Nash Street, and only the person named on the permit may use it. Bring a valid driver licence, a current water bill and the permit receipt for the attendant on arrival. City residents get two free disposals a year before the charges below start to apply, and the city also runs four free residential clean-up days annually for which no permit is needed.
Beyond the free allowance, the schedule is priced by what you drive. A car is $12.00. A half-ton pickup is $25.00 loaded to bed level and $40.00 above it; a one-ton pickup is $35.00 and $55.00 on the same basis. Trailers are charged on a grid of width, length and load depth: a 4x8 trailer runs from $12.00 at one foot deep to $60.00 at four feet, while a 7x20 runs from $60.00 to $252.00. Mattresses are $20.00 per piece and passenger tyres $5.00 each, with other tyre sizes priced individually.
Three categories are refused: batteries, appliances and electronics. Construction and remodelling debris is banned in the strongest terms the schedule uses. Bagged yard material is treated as trash rather than as brush, which matters because loose brush is free. All vehicles and trailers must be tarped in transit.
Station hours are Wednesday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 8am to noon — two days a week only. Note a conflict on the city's own site about when permits can be bought: the fee schedule says Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, while the convenience station page says 8am to 5pm. Neither carries a date, so allow for the earlier close.
