The City of Nacogdoches Landfill is on NW Stallings Drive, and the city ties disposal rights directly to your water account. If you are on city water, you get more here than most East Texas residents get anywhere.

The headline allowance is one free household load per month, claimed by presenting your city water bill. Additional loads in the same month are charged per load. County residents outside the city system pay per load from the first visit.

The genuinely unusual benefit is brush. Brush and general debris are accepted unlimited and free with a city water bill — no monthly cap, no per-load charge. For anyone clearing pines or storm damage, that is a substantial saving over a per-ton site.

Appliances and tires are both accepted but both carry a fee, so budget separately for those rather than assuming they ride along with your free load.

Paint is where this site has a rule that catches people out. Dried paint is accepted; liquid paint is not. The landfill expects you to dry it yourself first, using kitty litter, dirt or sawdust mixed into the can until it is solid. Batteries are refused outright.
