To get the resident rate you must produce a City of Denton utility bill together with your driver's licence. Everyone must show a valid driver's licence or state-issued ID regardless, so there is no anonymous drop-off here.

The detail most likely to send you home is the payment method. The weigh station takes credit cards, debit cards and tap-to-pay only - cash is not accepted. That is the opposite of most small Texas municipal gates, where cash is often the only option, so do not assume.

Loads must be tarped or tied down. Denton does not simply turn you away for an uncovered load; it charges, and it escalates - $25 for a first offence and $30 for every occurrence after that, tracked against you rather than reset each visit.

Beyond general rubbish the site takes construction and demolition debris, clean concrete, asphalt, brick and dirt, brush and green waste, and electronics and appliances. Special waste is a different process entirely and must be pre-approved by the City of Denton before it arrives. Commercial haulers running high volumes can apply for a charge account, but the city sets a real bar for it - at least twenty loads a month for the preceding two months, and every driver named with their licence number on the application form. For a one-off household clear-out, turn up, pay by card, and expect the $26.50 floor.
