This landfill at 16007 West Bellfort in Sugar Land is still widely searched as the Sprint Fort Bend County Landfill, but it now trades as the Fort Bend County Landfill under GFL Environmental. We have kept the older name in the title because that is what people look for; GFL is the operator you will deal with at the gate.
The site serves a fast-growing part of Fort Bend County and handles construction and demolition material, commercial waste and loads brought in by contractors and by residents towing trailers. Access is off West Bellfort with room for large vehicles, which is one of the reasons it is used heavily by demolition and roofing crews working the Sugar Land and Missouri City corridor.
GFL keeps a branch page for the facility, but it publishes no gate rate, no opening schedule and no accepted-items list on it. There is no operator document we can read a price off, so we do not print one. Where a private operator publishes nothing, we say so rather than estimate, and the only reliable way to get a current figure is to phone the scale house on (281) 277-3277.
Because the operator has changed hands, older directory entries and blog posts about this site are unreliable on both pricing and access. Ask specifically whether the site is open to walk-up residential customers on the day you plan to go, whether a minimum charge applies to a small load, and which payment methods the scale house accepts. It is also worth confirming that your material is one GFL will take, since construction sites of this type frequently separate clean fill from mixed debris and price them differently.
