Royal Oaks Landfill is a Republic Services site at 440 Heath Lane in Jacksonville, roughly two and a half miles north of the US 69 and US 79 junction, serving Cherokee County and the wider East Texas region. It is one of the larger privately operated disposal sites between Tyler and Lufkin.
Republic Services does not publish a page for this landfill. The company operates a general Jacksonville location page and a national facility locator, and neither carries a gate rate, an opening schedule or an accepted-items list for Royal Oaks. That is normal for Republic's Texas landfills rather than a gap in our research, and it means we will not print a price here: we do not publish a figure that cannot be read off the operator's own live page today.
Third-party directories list the site as open on weekdays from early morning to mid-afternoon and closed at weekends, but no operator source confirms that, so treat any hours you find elsewhere as unverified. Ring the site on (903) 586-1449 before you load a trailer.
When you call, it is worth asking four things rather than just the price. Ask whether the site takes walk-up household loads at all or works mainly on commercial accounts. Ask what the minimum charge is, since a half-empty pickup often costs the same as a full one. Ask which payment methods the scale house takes, because several East Texas landfills have moved to card only. And ask whether tyres, appliances, mattresses or roofing shingles carry a separate per-item charge on top of the tonnage rate, as these are the items most often surcharged.
