The Southeast Landfill on Salt Road is operated by Republic Services rather than run directly as a municipal tip, and that distinction decides what a trip here costs. It is open to the public for self-haul disposal, but there is no resident discount at this gate.
We have removed the claim, previously carried on this page, that Fort Worth residents could present a driver's licence and water bill for a city residential rate. That could not be substantiated against any published source, and it set the wrong expectation for anyone arriving with paperwork in hand.
What Fort Worth residents genuinely do get is different and separate. The city operates its own Drop-Off Stations, which are free to residents for rubbish, brush, recyclables and household chemicals on production of proof of residency — a current water bill or driving licence will do. Those are distinct sites, not this landfill, so choose the destination before you load up.
At the landfill itself, charges are assessed per tonne on scale weight, with a minimum charge applying to small loads. Neither figure is published. Ring 817-478-6462 for a quote first.
Treat the on-site safety requirements as real. Landfill working faces are active industrial environments and staff can turn away anyone inadequately equipped.
Ring ahead, and if what you have would fit inside a city drop-off station's remit, take it there instead and pay nothing.
