Precinct 3's site on Pruitt Road is far more than a recycling drop-off. It handles landfill-type disposal, bulky household items, yard waste and household chemicals, all at published per-item prices, and the fee schedule that governs it took effect on 1 October 2025. You must be a Montgomery County resident and you will be asked to prove it.
The general disposal minimum is $10, which covers miscellaneous household items and debris not itemised elsewhere. A pickup load filled to the sides of the bed is usually $30. Trailers are priced by length: $50 for six feet, $70 for eight, $90 for ten, $120 for twelve, and on up to $200 for twenty, with extra charged where a load is stacked above four feet. Furniture and appliances run $10 to $50 each depending on size. Twin mattresses and box springs are $10; full, queen and king are $20.
Electronics are priced separately and sensibly: computers, laptops, tablets and phones are free, while televisions and monitors are a flat $10 whatever the size or technology, and printers, players and stereo pieces are $10 each. Small electronics go in at $10 a bag. Fluorescent tubes cost $1 up to four feet and $2 above. Passenger tyres are $10 off the rim and $20 on it. Yard waste is $20 a truckload.
Paint and household chemicals are the exception to the timetable — those are taken on Wednesdays and the third Saturday only, at $10 for every five gallons, unmixed. The site itself trades Monday through Saturday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, shutting for an hour at 11:30am. Cash, credit and debit are all fine.
